My husband and I got to spend a full weekend just the two of us last month. It was heavenly and I truly cherish him and the time we have together. Not that I don't love my boys and enjoy having them around, because I do. It's just nice to have a chance to reconnect, most of the time we're both going in different directions.
This was using ScrapSketch #122.
I traced and cut out some lined paper to pull out from behind the quote for my journaling.
Supplies:
Papers: Fancy Pants delight, PTI Scarlet Jewel, misc black cs from WalMart

Fab. Finds cartridge exploration
My mom used to tell me that I'd lose my head if it wasn't screwed on, haha, so I need a list or will forget something that I needed to do. This results in lists a dozen lists all over my house so I decided to make one place for all my to do's. The cover of this uses the star cover and the back cover is the solid cover. I made the inside notebook out of a notebook I had laying around, it pulls out so when I run out of paper I'll just make another one to put in there. My Bind it All was used for binding. Plantin Schoolbook for LIST.
I wish I had more time for this challenge because there is SO MUCH MORE I want to do with this cart. Stay tuned I might have a few more projects for this one coming ;)

My baby is THREE!
Well technically he's been three since the 10th but now it's scrapped so it's official ::wink::
His Grammy made his a really cool car hauler cake, which he thought was the coolest and his big brother got him some "Cars" cars. Check out his birthday boy shirt, I made it using the cricut freezer paper method. It turned out totally cute and he really liked it.
This was inspired by ScrapSketch #119. Go check out Steph's sketches and show us what you can create!
Supplies
Papers: We R Memory Keepers White out collection (I'll have to check on this, but DH is sleeping upstairs, can't wake him up ::wink::)
Punch: Fiskars upper crest
Cricut cart: Sesame Street font
misc.: Machine stitching for the circle

Celebrate card
Here's a quick little one using a sketch challenge from the Cuttlebug Challenge. I used the textile cuttlebug folder on the background and stitched the border. Then I border punched the edge of my cream cardstock and stamped all but the edge with PTI's background basics text style. Added and sewed the ribbon, stamped my sentiment and stitched on the buttons. The text background is pop dotted for dimension. Final touch is the star with the pretty button stitched on top and that is pop dotted as well.
Supplies:
Paper: PTI vintage cream and hibiscus burst.
Ink: PTI vintage touch duo and Scarlet Jewel
Stamps: PTI Damask Designs (sentiment), Star Prints, and Background Basics Text Style
Punches: Ek success notebook edge and Fiskars Extra Large star punch
Buttons: PTI aqua mist, hibiscus burst and Scarlet Jewel
Ribbon: PTI Aqua Mist

Interactive challenge
This weeks challenge over at the Chirper Challenge was to create something interactive. I knew right away what I was going to do. This will be the title page in my family album. The doors and windows open to reveal pictures of my family. The flowers all spin too. I used vellum on the windows and backed them with light yellow cardstock so it looks like light is coming from inside. The house is from Zoobaloo as is the grass. The heart is from Plantin Schoolbook but I hand cut a little bit of the point of the end. Love and Home were cut with my cricut with the Sure Cuts ALot software, the font is Amaze. The roof is an EK success punch and I glued it on and cut the shape of the roof.
We'll be picking a guest designer for next time from the ones who join in on this challenge so play along! :)

Boys of Summer for ScrapSketch
We had one week so far where it was super hot and humid all week long. So the boys were out running in the sprinkler every night. So much fun.
I hand cut and shabbied up the flowers. The background circle was torn and sewn back together, I shabbied the edges and machine stitched around the edges.
This uses Sketch # 112 from ScrapSketch. I love Steph's sketches, they always get my creative juices flowing.
Supplies:
Patterned papers:
cricut carts: George (large circle), brackets boys and summer from Don Juan
Misc. Embroidery floss, machine stitching, button.

Road Rash for Scrapsketch
Look at my poor little guy's face :( . He was out at camp with his Grandparents running full speed behind the truck he was pushing. Well the truck got stuck on a bump but he kept going and ended up with this nice road roash all over his sweet little face.
This one uses sketch # 111 from ScrapSketch.
The star pulls out with a little spot for my journaling.

Cart. Exploration at the Chirper Challenge
Over at the Chirper Challenge this week we are exploring the cricut cartridges Plantin Schoolbook, George and basic shapes and Don Juan. All of the carts that may have come with your cricut machines.
My first card uses George and Basic Shapes. I cut the 2 star shadows at 5 1/2 and a star out of patterned paper. The oval is also from George and basic shapes. Stitching, ribbon, twine and a studio G sentiment finish it off.
This is the gift I made my husband for our 4th anniversary. The box is one of Lauren Meader's My Timeless templates, this is the small pack a picnic. I also made the large one for him for fathers day (it's a post or two ago). The cricut cut on here is the heart. I used the stitched option from Don Juan and it is so much fun. It just leaves little dots where I hand stitched with embroidery floss.
Thanks for stopping by!

Guess what I did yesterday?
I ran 1/2 a marathon!!!
Last year when I started running I could barely make it 1/4 of a mile without having to stop and walk and yesterday I ran 13.1 MILES! The time wasn't overly impressive at 2 hours and 17 minutes but I still did it.
I'm slowly working myself up and one of my goals in life is to complete a full marathon. Now I believe in myself enough to know that I can do it.
Sorry it's so off topic and not at all papercraft related but I'm proud of myself so I wanted to share.

Pack a picnic for CC #18
Here's my project for this weeks Chirper Challlenge . I used one of Lauren Meader's Timeless Templates that you can buy from Papertrey Ink. This one is the Pack a picnic and it's soo super cool because it comes with this template and a smaller version of the same thing and it's totally cute! These are so easy too because you just print them out cut on the lines and tape them together, easy peasy.
Anyways, this challenge was to include Brown, Brads and zig-zags. This was my hubby's fathers day gift. I would swear I took a picture of it when it was full with his Dad's day goodies and cards, but for the life of me I could not find it and had to take a new picture after it's been used for a while, ugh, sorry about that! Oh and it has a lid that of course is MIA, haha.
Supplies:
Papers: from Papertrey Ink, Ripe Avocado, Ocean Tides, Craft and Ripe Avocado bitty star basics, and misc. brown CS from stash
Inks: Ripe Avocado and Ocean Tides both PTI
Martha Stewart zig zag punch
Fiskars large star punch (I got mine from PTI)
Cricut Sesame Street Font for #1 Dad
Brads from stash.
