But the look fabulous and added so much light to our living room.

Here's the scoop for ScrapSketch #93

Do you ever have those projects that come together so perfectly you can hardly believe it? This was one of those. I knew what pictures I would use for this LO and went into M's for some inspiration. There I found this adorable little ice cream charm. So naturally I bought the package........... and the matching papers and tags, haha. One of the tags said some thing about "the scoop" and I had a lightbulb moment and my title was born. I absolutely adore this page, every single thing about it. Especially the story. Here's what the journaling says: "Tyler has the habit of trying to eat his ice cream from the bottom up. Unfortunately this is the usual result." and if you can't tell that's him holding an ice cream cone without any ice cream.

Supplies:
K&Company citronella papers, tag and ice cream charm.
Black CS from Walmart
Fiskars large star punch
Fiskars uppercrest border punch
Pink ribbon from M's dollar bin
misc. Black Buttons, white crochet thread
Thanks for stopping by!

You Rock for ScrapSketch #88

Here's a LO for ScrapSketch this is my take on sketch #88. What a fun sketch this one is and I just love this layout. My son, Dylan, loves to set up all of his stuffed animals and save me a special seat where he sings Rudolph the red nosed reindeer over and over. Look at his face, he's having the time of his life!! haha. I absolutely love it, although given that it's June I'm trying to teach him a new song {wink}.

Supplies:

Patterned Papers: Sassafrass Lass Hog Heaven
Black CS: WalMart
mis. Buttons, white crochet thread, Sakura Souffle white pen, embroidery floss (in buttons)

The stamped image was one Sonia Kertznus sent me, he's so cute, isn't he? Thanks Sonia!

Mother-in-law's 50 b-day gift set

I knew it was coming up, my MIL's birthday. However, I'd been really busy so I figured I'd throw together a card, toss in a gift card and call it good. Well.... at about 4 o'clock the night before her birthday my husband says "It's my Mom's 50th isn't it?"

"WHAT???" I can't just do a little cop out gift card for a 50th birthday, especially for someone as wonderful as my mother-in-law.

So I had to do something fabulous, but what? Of course I had no idea what to do and no inspiration. I spent an hour or so searching the web trying to find a simple and cute idea and came across personalized wine labels. :: lightbulb moment ::

Then in my scraproom I found one of these bare elements wine holders that I've had for years and didn't come across the right occasion to use it.

I ended up with a wine holder complete with customised wine bottle, card with gift card and matching flowers.

Not too bad for a moment's notice huh?

Here's the wine holder I put it in.
Inside the wine holder with the bottle of wine

The "Fifty & Fabulous" wine bottle

Another view of the wine bottle.
The quick card, I think it turned out cute though.

Inside the card with a gift card holder

I was really proud of being able to pull all of this together in such short notice and I think it turned out pretty cute, don't you??

cardstocks: bazzill
flowers: Prima

Just 4 you: Graphically speaking cricut cartridge

My GIRL

This one is also from Scrap Sketch and uses sketch #77. Let me tell you again how much I LOVE these sketches, they inspire me so much and I've got about a dozen more that I'm waiting for the time to try.

This layout features my BFF Traci, isn't she cute! (she's on the right) We went to school together where we were pretty much inseperable. She's since moved out to Montana (I'm in Michigan) so we don't get to see or hear from each other often enough. But she's one of those friends that you know is always there, no matter what. Love you Traci!

Supplies:
Patterned papers are Bo Bunny
Flowers are Prima
Ek success border punch (notebook edge)
Leaves are from storybook Cricut cart.
GIRL is also from storybook Cricut cart.
my is from Opposites Attract Cricut cart.
Arrow from George or Plantin Schoolbook (I think, I don't really remember)
Small arrow is chipboard from my stash.
Blue bling is from WalMart, they're in the arts and crafts department, I think they're made to decorate cell phones or something, but they've got adhesive on the back and they're awesome.
Large bling is also from Wal Mart.

Gift

Here is my layout for ScrapSketch this is from sketch #74. Steph really has some supremely awesome sketches and there are many talented ladies on the creative team so hop on over for a TON of inspiration.

We had a photoshoot on mothers day and after my kids were done being cooperative I was just playing with them on the HUGE tires at the playground. My mom kept snapping pics and was able to get these, which I adore!! If you can't read the journaling spot it says Being your Mom is the greatest. So with the title its being your mom is the greatest gift. So so true, I love my boys more than anything!!

Corrugated cs from Michaels, not sure of manufacturer

Since they picked the challenge I figured they could make their own challenge page and here it is:
