100% all boy card

Here's a little boy card that I made the other day while I was making the whoo do you love layout (see previous post). I love the look of nestabilities but budget just doesn't allow if I want to have any $$ to buy paper to cut, so here is my faux nestability look. Using my cricut I cut the marquee shape and another that was the same size, then I placed the border over it and sponged ink around the edges and bottom. It's a really easy and fun technique that I'm sure I'll be using agian and again.

I absolutely adore this card, hope you do too!

Patterned papers: Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy collection.
Cardstock: Cream from Michaels
Ribbon: Basic Basic fom Michaels, Rustic button twine from PaperTrey Ink
Button: PaperTrey Ink rustic wood
Punch: Fiskars Apron Lace punch
Stamps: Truck is part of a set from Oriental Trading Company I'm not sure of the manufacturer, 100% all boy I'm not sure where that one came from

  1. Cute - I agree the nestabilities are way over priced and I find the cricut has the same cuts.

  2. I use the marquee cut a great deal and am now thrilled to have another idea for its use. Your card is just perfect.

  3. I love this card, Jackie! Great tip about using the diecut as a mask for your stamping!

  4. Hey Jackie! This is so cute!
I love that patterned paper and that ribbon, adorable!
