Today I am feeling so thankful. For my silly, sweet boys, my wonderful husband, my friends, family and YOU! I'm thankful that you take the time to visit me and see what I've been up to. Thankful that you leave me such sweet wonderful comments that make me smile. It's nice to know I'm not just talking to myself on here! :)
Since I know I don't say it enough, THANK YOU!
Today I've got a layout to show you using Dot Spot, which is such a fun set, don't you think?
This is my little truck man. I've got to tell you a little story about him and just how much he LOVES TRUCKS (and only trucks). Last week, we bought a bike for our older boy since he had outgrown the smaller one. Well I didn't want Tyler to feel left out so on the way through the checkout I grabbed him a hotwheels car. He didn't seem to care that Dylan got a bike and he didn't get anything but then I showed him the car we bought for him and our conversation went like this
Tyler- "That's not a truck, you know I only like TRUCKS!"
Me- "Sorry bud, but there weren't any trucks"
Tyler- "Well you should have gone somewhere else to find one"
I'm not about to raise a spoiled and unappreciative son so I say- "Sorry, but I didn't have time to go anywhere else, if you don't like it I will give it to your brother, maybe he would appreciate it more"
Tyler- "Good, because I don't want it"
So lucky Dylan got a new bike and a new car. Tyler was just happy he didn't have to have a car.
The End.
It was so much fun stamping away and glimmer misting this page, and I love the result. It's bold and graphic but distressed, love it!

Great page -- and I'm going to have to start moving Dot Spot up on my PTI wish list. Cute story about your boys. Funny how our efforts to be fair and sensitive can backfire on us, isn't it?! And now you know -- ONLY TRUCKS! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat scrapbbook page!! I love the Dot Spot. Wonderful story, kids say the darnest things and now if it isn't a truck it doesn't matter to him.
ReplyDeleteThis has to be the coolest page I have seen in a long time! I love the background! That Dot Spot looks like it has so much dimension! Love the title, the colors, everything! Great page!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable LO Jackie..and I love the "truck" story. Good for you for not giving him the car! You should put that story on this LO so when he's older he can cringe at his behavior! LOL
ReplyDeleteLove that you used Dot Spot on a scrapbook layout! It looks great, so fun, perfect for the title! Oh and your story really cracked me up!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, LOOK at that cute little face, I think this little guy is going to break a lot of hearts some day ;) Your layout is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteCute! Love how your son is playing with that truck in the snow. Nice page.
